Large blood spots on the body, head, and scalp are often referred to as Morgan-Campbell syndrome. Although they can be painful to live with, they are completely harmless vascular discolorations that can be easily removed with diathermy.

REQUIRED TREATMENT

Diathermy. For very large blood spots, two treatments may be required:

1. To cauterize and reduce the blood spot
2. To reduce any remaining color after the initial treatment has healed.
